Art Photogram

What is Photogram?
A picture created without using a camera but is instead exposed to light.

What did we do?
We used the copier machine to act as the light we needed to produce the photogram. We went outside to get some flowers and we also borrowed some crab shells. After placing the materials we needed, we placed an apron on top of the items. We were able to make 6 images containing different flowers and leaves.

What did we learn?
The idea of a photogram is new to me and this is a new thing for me. I learnt how to use the copier as a machine to use for photograms. I was able to work with different ideas and items. I learnt about positive and negative spaces and how to use them effectively.

  1. Kia Ora Reign, These are carefully placed groupings that express symmetry and more asymmetry. A good start to the slide set created by Whaea Rowena. As a next step, explore placing subject matter off-center and touch the edges of the frames. Work through the slide set and try some of the other compositional suggestions. When you have an idea, try it! Tau kē!
