Chromatography experiment 2

Methods:
You need to grab the sample from the leaves.
Put ethanol on a test tube.
Put a line on the filter paper.
Put the stick on the filter paper to hold it in place.
Put one drop on the filter paper on the line.

Equipments:
Test tube rack
Filter paper
Ethanol
Stick

Results:
The colours i expect it to be is light brown.The experiment didn't work because we put to much ethanol in the test tube.We can improve this by putting less ethanol in.




2nd experiment:

Methods:
Grab equipments.
Pick 3 marker colors or more.
Grab a filter paper.
Put a dot of the solute on the filter paper.
Put solvent inside the test tube.
Put filter paper inside the test tube.
Watch the difference.

Equipments:
3 colored markers or more.
Splint.
Filter paper.
Test tube.
water
Test tube rack.

Results:
This experiment worked better than the last one did.What worked well is that we saw all the colors inside the colored marker.The colours I expect it to be is different shade of colours.We were trying to compare the experiment last week and todays expermient and the experiment today worked well.The solvent carries the colors on different paces and the solvent carry the blue solute faster becaus ethe blue is lighter than the other colours.
